Pros +
- Room and bathroom was bigger than the usual Japanese biz men hotel. Although the room was not cleaned for 3 days, they only clean after 3rd day, they did give the day's usual amenities and fresh towels.
- Ideal location for both city and airport.
- Superb
Cons -
- Worse location of all APA hotels I've stayed in Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka. It was in a secluded part of Susukino and at least a 15min walk to the nearest attraction e.g. Sapporo TV Tower. At night, the road leading in was dark and isolated, with no shops and eateries in sight. The nearest convenience store Lawson was one street away, when usually it is just right next door. There was no buffet for breakfast, just one Japanese style bento which served fish as the main dish for the 3 days I stayed there. I've never like fish. No choice was given. However the portions and variety was sufficient, and the plating neat and pleasant. At least three quarters of the staff could not speak nor understand English without their handheld translator, even the team leader. The rest looked like young interns receiving training. For the above mentioned, the price was not reasonable and is even fact the MOST expensive of all 3 hotels I stayed in Hokkaido! Certainly not value for money and not in keeping with the usual APA Hotel standard.
